I don’t know about you, but something comes alive in me when I see a good prompt. It stirs the soul down deep and beckons me to come and write.

It’s funny how you can have a long list of options to choose from, and yet, just a small handful — maybe even one — stands out among them all. So, I got to thinking about it, and then I thought I’d check my old friend Medium to see if others shared any interest in this. And it turns out that more than a few of you do.

Then the wheels got to spinning, and I put the puzzle pieces together. What if I started writing Prompts for fiction writers on Medium? It could be an easy way to get back to writing on this platform, plus it could be a fun and exciting little side adventure as well.

You see, I recently found my way back to writing fiction. It's funny how birthdays and changes in work, life, etc., can have that effect on you. This all really came about from me pulling one of my favorite books off the shelf the other night. Ever read Chris Van Allsburg? I’m sure you have, and as soon as you hit Google on the name, it’ll ring a bell. This is a hat-tip to Chris and the power of his art over my imagination through the years. Enjoy.
