Like a music recording that can be reduced to code and stored in a file, the quantified human can also be reduced to bits, replicated infinitely, uploaded to the cloud, or installed in a robot. But only the metrics we choose to follow are recorded and translated. Those we don’t value, or don’t even know about, are discarded in the new model.

It reminds me of my old days in undergrad. I had a class on metaphysical philosophy at 9 am. I know, who does that to themselves? Ha
Anyway, we explored topics like this every day. Thought experiments. How do we know we’re really here and not somewhere else? How do we know we’re the same person we were yesterday? So on and so on.
These are highly important questions though as they dive into the mysteries you wrote about. Those mysteries, a touch of chaos, they’re the driving force for far more than innovation but human evolution itself. Organic upgrades and enlightenment. Things that technology mirrors but ultimately pales in comparison to.
