Meet Me at the Cabin Next to the Wildflowers

Meet me at the cabin next to the wildflowers
where we have the clawfoot tub on the little deck
we’ll wrap ourselves in a blanket of stars
melting into each other on warm summer nights

We can set close together, watching fireflies flicker their way across the field
holding one another, wrapped up in a blanket of stars
melting into the moment, chasing smiles and laughing together
here it’s perfectly quiet, except for the little conversation we’re sharing

I love the feeling of you in my arms
and the way our days are framed between quiet conversations — the start of the day, and the end of the day
we find a lived-in love in those quiet moonlight moments at the beginning of the day
and so much more as the day winds down, and we lay close together

Meet me at the cabin by the wildflowers
where we’ll wrap ourselves in a blanket of stars
and so much tucked between the moments of our day
I love the way our lived-in love wraps us up in a collection of smiles and little joys
