On the Old Porch Swing

I asked Momma where you were and she said I’d find you out here
curled up and sleeping on the old porch swing, with that little hint of a smile that always makes me want to kiss you
I stand still, leaning on the door frame, just grinning at you
your eyes slowly begin to open and that little hint of a smile grows as you see me
